Washington FCCLA State Officers are elected by their peers at the State Leadership Conference and represent Washington’s membership. The State Executive Council develops a program of work aligned to the strategic goals of Washington FCCLA. Throughout the year the team interacts with the membership to implement and enhance FCCLA’s programs. Washington State Officers are available to attend your events.

Leah Richards
Washington FCCLA State President Leah Richards is a junior at Selah High School and has been an active FCCLA member since sixth grade in 2021. In school, she enjoys both math and science and hopes to pursue a career in the medical field, where she can combine her love of learning with helping others.
Through FCCLA, Leah has competed at the National Leadership Conference twice, earning 3rd and 8th place in the nation in National Programs in Action. She is also a recipient of the Middle School Level FACTS Award. FCCLA has provided her with countless opportunities to grow, from connecting with members across the country to developing confidence in public speaking and leadership.
One of Leah’s favorite parts of FCCLA is being involved alongside her two sisters, sharing experiences, competitions, and memories that have made her journey even more meaningful. FCCLA has played a major role in her personal growth, helping her transform from a shy sixth grader into a confident leader serving as State President.
Outside of FCCLA, Leah enjoys running, reading, and spending time with friends—especially going out for sweet treats. She is passionate about making lasting connections and inspiring others to find their place within FCCLA, just as she has.

Maximus Eismann
Maximus Alexander Eismann is currently serving as Washington State’s Executive Vice President and is a National Officer Candidate from the Selah FCCLA chapter in Region 7. As a junior, this school year will mark his fifth year in FCCLA, during which he has taken advantage of many opportunities and grown significantly as a leader. One of his most meaningful experiences was serving on the National Officer Nominating Committee in 2025, which allowed him to help elect the leaders who serve as the face and heart of the organization. Maximus is excited to lead with the same bold vision and determination that Alexander the Great demonstrated for Macedonia.
After high school, he plans to pursue a career in law or possibly become a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher so he can continue his passion for FCCLA and support students into the future.
His leadership journey began at his first State Leadership Conference. Watching the State President speak on stage with confidence and poise, Maximus realized he wanted to be that inspiring person. Later, at nationals, he learned that those on stage were National Officers, which fueled his drive to run for National Office in the future.
To Maximus, FCCLA represents the opportunity to become a better version of himself. He views this as a once in a lifetime experience for which he is deeply grateful. It is a safe place where everyone can lead, be themselves, make friends, and have fun.

Elise Leal Morfin

Elise Leal Morfin
Hello Washington FCCLA! Elise Leal Morfin is ready to serve as your next Vice President of Finance! Elise will be a freshman at Chiawana High School for the 2026–2027 school year.
In her three years in FCCLA, Elise has served as McLoughlin FCCLA Treasurer, President, and Region 8 Vice President. She is also a two-year member of her Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) ASB Leadership, serving as Treasurer, and a WEB Crew Leader, supporting both her school and community.
Elise is a dedicated musician, with three years as a cellist in her school’s Orchestra Ensemble, along with experience in Chamber Orchestra and Treble Choir. She will join Chiawana’s Jazz and Show Choir this fall. She has also been involved in volleyball and dance for two years.
Through FCCLA, Elise has competed in STAR Events including the National Program, Families First, and Parliamentary Procedure the last two years, while completing all Power of One units. She earned gold at state in sixth grade and was a national runner-up, later showcasing her project to members nationwide. Her Parliamentary Procedure team placed 3rd in the nation last year, and after competing at state, she has advanced to nationals again this year.
Elise plans to study political science and pursue law, but she is committed to growing as a leader through FCCLA in the next few years. She is excited to attend the National Leadership Conference, connect with members, and continue serving Washington FCCLA with passion and dedication.

Jacqueline Vargas-Sanchez
Jacqueline Vargas-Sanchez is an upcoming senior at Sunnyside High School in the Sunnyside FCCLA chapter and is serving as the Washington FCCLA State Secretary.
As a third year member of FCCLA, Jacqueline has attended 3 State Leadership Conferences and the National Leadership Conference 2025, Competing in Promote and Publicize FCCLA and Fashion Design. She is also involved in her chapter, encouraging other members to participate in FCCLA activities. FCCLA has given her the opportunites and circumstances to become a better leader.
In her free time she enjoys baking, crafting and spending time with her friends. In the future she hopes to pursue a career in engineering.
Jacqueline is excited to serve WA FCCLA and see what the future holds for this year.

Isha Kulkarni
Isha Kulkarni is the Vice President of Community Service for Washington FCCLA and attends Skyline High School, where she will be a junior this fall. She has been an active member for the past 2 years, and serves as a chapter officer, where she has developed her leadership, organization, and communication skills.
After being encouraged by her older sister to join FCCLA, Isha has discovered her passion for leadership and service. She has competed in events such as Public Policy Advocate and Sports Nutrition, qualifying for the National Leadership Conference in both, where she expanded her skills and confidence on a larger scale. These experiences have shown her how to turn ideas into action and make a meaningful impact.
Outside of FCCLA, Isha enjoys dancing, going on walks, and hanging out with her dog. She is dedicated to serving her community through volunteer organizations such as Blood Cancer United and the American Red Cross.
Isha hopes to attend a four-year university and pursue a degree in a field related to medicine, with the goal of making a positive impact on her community and beyond. As a State Officer, she is excited to connect with members across Washington, inspire others to step outside their comfort zones, and help create a welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong!

Mikayla William
Washington FCCLA’s VP of Membership, Mika William, is a senior at Steilacoom High School and has been participating within FCCLA for 3 years after joining in her sophomore year. Within FCCLA, she has competed in Fashion Design twice, earning 3rd place at SLC her first year, and qualifying for NLC her second year.
Mika’s favorite part of FCCLA is the community and the people within the organization. She enjoys meeting new people and seeing all of the intricate projects competitors put together for STAR events. She especially enjoys seeing the passion people have for their projects across all of the unique competition events.
Through FCCLA Mika has experienced skill and character growth within her years in FCCLA, and believes that growth is the best thing FCCLA provides for all of its members. She wants to inspire and foster the same growth she experienced within other members.
Mika is an involved member within her school and community, participating in other extracurriculars and often volunteering wherever there’s volunteering opportunities within her community. She enjoys helping others and building connections with her peers, as FCCLA has helped her come out of her shell and become someone who reaches out to all of her peers.
Outside of school and FCCLA, Mika enjoys sewing, reading, and spending time with her friends. She loves making connections with her peers, and getting to know them beyond the surface. Mika hopes that during her time as FCCLA’S VP of Membership, she is able to make connections with countless FCCLA members.

Eduardo Hartz
Eduardo Hartz is the Vice President of Parliamentary Law for Washington FCCLA and will be a junior at Issaquah High School this fall. He has been an active FCCLA member since starting high school, developing strong leadership and communication skills through chapter, state, and national involvement. As a member, Eduardo has earned recognition through competitive events, including presentations and projects, as well as his role in strengthening chapter organization and outreach.
Through FCCLA, Eduardo has gained valuable experience in leadership, public speaking, and collaboration, allowing him to connect with members across the state and contribute to a stronger chapter community. He is especially passionate about creating systems that improve organization and efficiency, helping both members and leaders succeed.
In addition to FCCLA, Eduardo is involved in robotics and DECA and has a strong passion for STEM and programming. He actively works on digital projects that support non-profits and schools, helping improve accessibility and organization through technology. These experiences reflect his interest in using innovation to solve real-world problems and give back to his community.
Eduardo plans to attend the University of Washington, where he will pursue a degree in computer science. He hopes to build a career in software development, creating impactful tools that make a meaningful difference.
He believes FCCLA provides members with opportunities to grow as leaders, build confidence, and create change. Through his experiences, he has seen how FCCLA encourages members to step outside their comfort zones, take initiative, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.

My name is Natelee McGowan, and I am from Tekoa, Washington. I will be a senior throughout the 2026-27 school year. I have been a member of FCCLA for 2, going on 3 years. I am your new 2026-27 Washington VP of Programs. Throughout my 2 years of being in FCCLA, I earned two awards. I earned silver in Repurpose and Redesign at the 2026 Regional competition and silver again at the 2026 State Leadership Conference. Although I plan to enlist in either the Army or the Marine Corps, I eventually hope to attend the University of Tennessee and pursue a degree in Law. I hope to one day become a lawyer or a judge.

Isabella Najera
Isabella Najera is beyond honored to serve as the 2026-2027 WA FCCLA Public Relations Vice President. Isabella is currently is a sophomore at Lind Ritzville High school, in Region 9. She is a first year member who has shown true passion and commitment to FCCLA.This year, she competed in the STAR event Leadership Level 2, earning silver and qualifying for nationals.
Along with FCCLA, Isabella is highly involved in her school, being a member of FBLA, Knowledge Bowl, volleyball, wrestling, and track. These extracurriculars have helped Isabela grow in her leadership abilities, which she plans to use in her term as a WA FCCLA officer.
After High school, Isabella plans to attend Gonzaga University to get her MD, and DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) to become a pediatric oncologist. FCCLA has given her the opportunities to grow towards this goal, pushing herself to higher standards.
Looking back, Isabella’s most rewarding experience in her FCCLA journey is seeing her countless hours on her project pay off, making it to the 2026 National Conference. She is extremely excited to be able to compete at the National Level.
With a positive attitude and determination, Isabella is committed to giving back to the FCCLA community. She strives to give the members the opportunities, support and kindness she received. Isabella will ensure that each and every member has fun while working towards their goals.

Elizabeth Rodriguez
Elizabeth Rodriguez is serving as Vice President of Recognition for Washington FCCLA and will be a senior at Sumner High School this fall, where she is dedicated to building member engagement and celebrating achievement. She has been an active FCCLA member for three years and will enter her fourth year next year, developing leadership skills, building meaningful connections, and making a lasting impact in her school community. Throughout her time in FCCLA, Elizabeth has been recognized as Member of the Month for increasing membership, demonstrating her commitment to growth and chapter involvement.
Elizabeth plans to attend a four-year university after high school to study nursing. She is interested in pursuing a career in pediatrics, with the goal of supporting children’s health and making a positive impact in her community.
As a state officer, Elizabeth focuses on creating a strong sense of belonging within FCCLA. She is committed to ensuring members feel seen, heard, and valued while encouraging them to step into leadership roles and actively participate. She believes that recognition and connection are key to building a supportive and successful organization.

Apurva Sreepada
Apurva Sreepada is the 2026-2027 Region 4 Vice President and a rising senior at Skyline High School in Sammamish, Washington. She has been in FCCLA since the fall of 2024, so this term is her 3rd year, and she takes pride in her FCCLA involvement. Her love for family and consumer sciences started at a young age; growing up, she enjoyed baking, cooking, and sewing—particularly fashion design. She has been obsessed with fashion from a young age, beginning sewing at only six years old; she started making dresses and clothes as a hobby. This small hobby soon grew into a deep passion for fashion and, further, advocating for FCCLA and family consumer sciences. Throughout her years in FCCLA, Apurva has managed to place second in SLC and 13th in the nation at NLC, both of which are in fashion design. Outside of FCCLA, she is an active and proud member of her high school theater program and a former competitive dancer who continues to pursue dance recreationally. After high school she plans to get a degree at a 4-year university, preferably at the University of Washington. Her major is still undecided; however, she plans to work in the realm of either FCS or a creative/art-based career. Apurva is committed to making the most of her time as a Washington State FCCLA officer and is dedicated to inspiring others to explore unique opportunities in FCCLA and Family Consumer Sciences.

Yana Joshi
Yana Joshi is serving as the Washington FCCLA Region 5 Vice President and is a junior at Jackson High School. She has been a dedicated FCCLA member for the past year, quickly emerging as a passionate leader committed to service and growth. In her time with FCCLA, she has developed strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills while actively participating in initiatives that promote community involvement and personal development. Her drive and commitment have allowed her to make a meaningful impact in a short period of time.
Beyond FCCLA, Yana is highly involved in service and leadership, serving as president of multiple school organizations and volunteering extensively in her community. She has worked with neurodivergent students in occupational therapy settings, supported individuals experiencing homelessness, and created initiatives that promote mental wellness, including establishing a mindfulness space at her school.
Yana plans to attend a four-year university, where she intends to major in neuroscience or public health. She hopes to pursue a career focused on improving the lives of individuals with neurological conditions through research, advocacy, and community-based care.

Harper Park
Harper Park attends Housel Middle School and will be in 8th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. She is the Vice President of Region 8 and the President of her local chapter. She has been in FCCLA for two years at her middle school and, as a 6th grader, she presented a Professional Presentation and was a National Qualifier for Washington State STAR events. She was able to present at Nationals my first year in FCCLA and she fell in love. She has also qualified for Nationals as a 7th grader. FCCLA has taught her to think of others in her community. She has been able to use her leadership skills to create a better community for her friends and family. In her free time, Harper is very involved in local theater and has been able to perform in many shows within her community. Her favorite was portraying Les in Newsies. She is also a club volleyball player and a club swimmer and was able to qualify for the Senior Championships this year in breaststroke and freestyle for her swim team. Harper is excited to serve as the Vice President of Region 8 and join her chapter and other FCCLA chapters together to create a better connection within the region. FCCLA has given Harper something to work towards and state officer is just the challenge she needs going into her 8th grade year. She can’t wait to see what this year brings as a state officer and as a member of the Housel Middle School chapter. Harper is confident there are some great things to look ahead to as an FCCLA member.
